ABOUT CLAUDIO

Claudio Pirollo grew up in Belgium where he soon discovered his passion for cooking as he wandered around his father’s fine Italian épicerie (grocery store) and watched his mother prepare dinner every day. The dual influence of Italy and Belgium triggered Chef Pirollo’s aspirations to develop his knowledge and experience with different flavors.

 

Chef Pirollo spent six years as the personal chef to the Irish Ambassador, preparing meals for notable dignitaries including Senator Kennedy and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Before working for the Irish Ambassador, he served as chef for the popular restaurant, Montmartre, a Capitol Hill favorite.

 

In 2008, Claudio opened the now renown and well-established French & Belgium Bistrot, ET VOILA. Et Voila has hosted many guests, locals in the neighborhoods, families, expatriates, politicians and even the current first lady Jill Biden. 

ABOUT CLAUDIO'S TABLE

The idea behind Claudio’s Table is to use current fame, and knowledge to offer a different cuisine in the Palisades. Give locals more choices for dinner without them having to drive across town. Claudio set up his own personal challenge to prove to the guests that he also masters Italian cuisine.

The trattoria has 60 seats and 10 seats at the bar. Guests will be able to admire the Chef at work, as the kitchen will be open, and part of the ambiance. 

WHAT'S A TRATTORIA

A Trattoria is not a pizzeria, it is an Italian-style eating establishment that is generally much less formal than a ristorante but more formal than an osteria. It is similar to what the French call Bistrot.
 
Trattorias are traditionally family owned, casual, rustic neighborhood restaurants found throughout all of Italy that offer fresh, regional, local and family specialties on the menu.
Claudio’s Table serves pasta, meat, fish and a few pizzas but those aren't the main focus. Italian cuisine is much more than dough and tomato sauce.

OUR PROMISE

Our promise at Claudio’s Table is to serve only fresh and seasonal items. We want to respect the Italian culture and give guest the impression they are in a little village in Italy.
 
Claudio will be cooking some of the dishes he grew up with such at la parmigiana, lamb spezatino with cavatelli, pasta amatriciana, olive oil cake and his personal favorite, his mom’s tiramisu.
